Chalice Club II
Chalice Club II was written by Connie Dunn and Erin J. Dunn.
Chalice Club II is a curriculum full of social justice/social action projects. There are 50 in all. Some of the projects take more than one week to complete. It is meant as a curriculum to empower children and youth to make decisions through consensus building. These projects are excellent for a second-hour program. Set up your Chalice Club soon!
In addition to the satisfaction of completing a project, badges and misc. embroidered patches are available to order. One way of displaying these earned patches could be on a stole, similar to the ones that ministers wear. The stoles are also available.
We envisioned Chalice Club as a curriculum that could be run for a second-hour program or as an additional program during the week or after school, but some churches have used it to sprinkle through their other curricula choices. It can be used with multi-level groups. The curriculum is set up to provide guidelines for k-3, 4-6 and junior high/high school.
