Custom Stories

For Custom Worship Story, see Consulting.

Custom stories are unique and one-of-a-kind keepsakes. With only a little bit of information a totally custom story can be written for a wide array of events, such as birthdays, weddings, and anniversaries. Any time you wish to give a distinctively different sort of present or require this sort of item for an event of any kind, the UU Storyteller can create it.

Connie Dunn has been creating completely irreplaceable tales for about 10 years. She has been providing stories for Unitarian Universalist storytellers (ministers and directors of religious education) for the last five years.

What Information Is Needed?

To create the story, a few pieces of information will be needed. And since most stories are so unique in purpose and use, these are only a few guidelines to consider:

  • Is there an underlying message(s) to the story? If yes, what is(are) it
    (they)?
  • Do you want to use particular names in the story? If so, what are they?
  • Are there certain actions or settings that need to be included in the story, such as a kiss in the park, child learning a lesson, etc.?

Custom stories do take some time to write. Please e-mail uustoryteller@gmail.com with your information and projected time frame. Most stories are under 5 pages or 600 words. But some stories can be written more easily than others, so allow at least 6 weeks. However, e-mailing us with what you need and your time frame will help us determine if we can meet your particular need. Prices vary depending on the complexity of the story. Average prices run $50 to $100.
